Bathing provides an opportunity to unplug, be truly present and realise all is well.
Homemade recipes can turn a bath into much more than a simple soak.
SALTS in their natural form, bathing salts contain many nutrients and minerals, including magnesium, potassium, sodium and calcium. warm water opens our pores allowing minerals to be absorbed, purifying and cleansing the skin, enhancing its texture and radiance. Popular salts include Epsom salts, Dead Sea Salts and Himalayan salts.
MUDS Like salts, muds, clays and peats and rich minerals, particularly those from hot springs, volcanoes and marine sediments. The mud from the dead sea, the deepest hypersaline lake on earth, is particularly beneficial for skin conditions like psoriasis, acne and eczema.
OILS When mixed with water, oil has the ability to penetrate deep into the skin.It softens and nourishes, reduces signs of dryness and improves some skin conditions. Most bath oils contain base oil scented with an essential oil and are an easy way to use aromatherapy.
Over the next few days i'm going to share a few of my favourites.
